Introduction

Hello, I’m Joshua M. Felton, a PhD student at Cornell University focused on phylogenetics and evolutionary biology. My research explores the intersection of mating systems, genetic diversity, and adaptation in epiphytic plants, particularly Catopsis nutans. I use genomic tools and field data to understand how reproductive strategies shape the evolution of plant species.

I am currently working on projects related to the phylogeny of Catopsis, exploring genetic structure across populations, and investigating the role of life history and breeding systems in shaping biodiversity.
